Legendary Singer Paul Anka My Way Killings
LMNOLAYou thought Road Rage was real. How about Karaoke Rage. That shit is as real as it gets. Or at least it is in the Philippines.
Here's the bizarre back story. Via Wikipedia (yes, it has its own wiki).
The "My Way" killings are a social phenomenon in the Philippines, referring to a number of fatal disputes which arose due to the singing of the song "My Way", popularized by Frank Sinatra, in Karaoke bars.
Some Filipinos, even those who love the song, will not sing it in public in order to avoid trouble. As of 2007, the song reportedly had been taken off of the playlists of karaoke machines in many bars in Manila after complaints about out-of-tune renditions of the song resulted in fights and deaths.
Told you, this is bizarre. Now let's ask Paul Anka what he thinks of Manny Pacquiao, who's considering singing for his own entrance song on May 2nd.
