An engineer with a healthy six-figure salary is on the verge of termination after his employer saw the viral video that shows him explaining why the idiot comment is funny with a News reporter Sunday during a Toronto FC soccer match.

The soon to be ex-Hydro One engineer's name is Shawn Simoes. His feeble attempt to awaken a tired joke was quickly smashed by CityNews reporter Shauna Hunt. Simoes wasn’t the only guilty culprit in this video and he might not be the only dumbass to lose his job over this sophomoric piece of work.

Hydro One spokeperson Daffyd Roderick issued a statement saying, “Regarding the incident at the Toronto FC game between a (CityNews) reporter and fans, Hydro One is taking steps to terminate the employee involved for violating our Code of Conduct.”
