Florida's Valencia College found themselves in hot water this week when two of its students filed a federal lawsuit over reportedly forced vaginal probing in their medical sonography class. While the weekly probing was supposedly “voluntary,” the students claim they were threatened with lower grades and employment blacklisting if they objected.

These probes were performed in full view of class and faculty, after they had walked down school hallways from the public bathroom where they had replaced their clothing with draped towels. What’s worse is that one of the teachers, Barbara Bell, even made comments that reek of sexual harassment, calling one student “sexy,” and suggesting that she ought to become an “escort.”

Valencia College promises to “investigate” and students are demanding an end to these invasive and embarrassing probes.
