To everyone caught up in the 'free-range' parenting debate, maybe you should take a page out of John Legend's book: Stay out of it.

'Free-range' parenting is an approach to raising kids that emphasizes common sense and independence, rather than perceiving everything as a constant threat. Although the philosophy has been around for several years, it recently made headlines when a 'free-range' Maryland couple had Child Protective Services called on them when the cops caught their children walking home from the playground less than a mile away. The story reignited an old debate across the country.
