The first trailer of "The Revenant" has finally been released, with Leonardo DiCaprio taking the spotlight. Starring in his first film since "The Wolf of Wall Street", DiCaprio plays a 19th century frontiersman trekking the dangerous and untouched American wilderness. After being abandoned by his crew, he's left to fend for himself against nature and the animals within it.

The film also features stars like Tom Hardy and Will Poutner, and was directed by Oscar-winning Alejandro Gonzalez. Despite being based off a fact-based novel, Gonzalez teamed up with Oscar-winning cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki to pay special care to the visual aspects of the film. "The Revenant" is set to be released on Christmas Day of this year
