Sometimes the heart doesn't want what it wants.

Boston radio host TJ Taormina was interviewing Selena Gomez when he abruptly the question, "On a scale of one to 10, Selena, where would you rate yourself?" Her reply, "On a good day, I would say, like, a premiere day, would be a good nine. And then on my every day, I feel like a six. Gosh, that sounds so bad. I feel like a six or a seven."

TJ then asked why she wouldn't rate herself a 10 and her humble response was, "Why would I want to say something like that? It's awkward enough answering."

Now ultimately, we all know that not every woman is a stone-cold knockout. Not even pop superstars are always at the top of the scale. But you would think that someone like Selena with a world full of fans, would think more of herself than a meager six or seven. It may be true that when the glam squad comes and preps you for a premiere, you can't deny being a nine. But really? Not a six or seven.

We can't help but wonder if the on-again, off-again antics of her unhealthy relationship with Justin Bieber may have given the pop starlet a skewed view of herself.

Or maybe she just has a real view and doesn't want to look conceited, but we think that she has every right to be.

Either which way, let's just hope she stays away from Bieber for good.
