Check out this intense trailer for "The 33", the film based on the true story of the "Chilean Mining Accident" of 2010.

The film follows the story of 33 Miners at the troubled 121-year-old San José Copper & Gold Mine in Northern Chile. On August 5th, a huge cave-in trapped workers over 2,300 feet (approx. 200 stories) and 3 miles away from the entrance of the cave at the end of a network of spiraling tunnels. The men remained trapped underground for 69 days until they're were freed on October 13th, 2010.

The disaster captured global attention, which ultimately brought in the help of the NASA Space Agency and over a dozen multi-national corporations to free the men who later became known as "Los 33". The odds were definitely against the men as it was believed they only had enough food or water to sustain the crew for 3 days.

The film, which stars heavy hitting actors like Antonio Banderas, Lou Diamond Phillips, Gabriel Byrne and James Brolin, is a harrowing look at the dangers some people face in order to make a living for their families. One can only be thankful that all the family members watching were able to see their men safely home.

The film is due in theaters November 13th, 2015.
