Remember Brad Bird"'s mega-underappreciated animated classic from 1999? "The Iron Giant?" Our favorite misunderstood robot will be newly remastered and returning to theaters! Sorry, Optimus Prime and Mr.The Terminator. Maybe our favorite cartoon robot?

"The Iron Giant" was actually Brad Bird's directorial debut and he would go on to be the directorial mind behind some of our favorite Pixar classics as well, such as "The Incredibles" and "Ratatouille."

Although the film was praised by critics at the time of it's release, it's theatrical run was disappointing, to say the least. However, in the 15 years since it's debut, the movie's popularity has grown and found a passionate group of fans. This time around, the movie will feature two never-before-seen scenes!

"The Iron Giant" will return to select theaters around the United States and Canada on September 30th and October 4th and then it will be available on Blu-Ray and even iTunes!
