If you've been keeping along since the release of the last book, you've surely realized that today marks James S. Potter's first day at Hogwarts!

For those that aren't quite sure what any of this means, here's a recap (Warning: Spoilers if you've been living under a rock): Harry ends up marrying Ginny Weasley and together they have three kids. Their first born, James Sirius Potter, would be starting his Hogwarts career on this very day and year.

Don't worry, Potterheads, You aren't the only ones who have had this monumental day marked in your calendars either. The author herself made a note to announce it, and some of your favorite celebs wished him a happy first day.

In other news, we finally got the official confirmation that the first-born Potter has been sorted in Gryffindor! Big shock. It's left us wondering if we'll get any surprises for the other two…

It's nice to know that even though the series is officially over, we still have moments like this to enjoy.
