After the confusing ordeal that was Ed Sheeran and Nicole Scherzinger's alleged relationship, fans were left even more confused when the couple broke it off before things even really started going.

In light of these events, Nicole took to instagram to give a very serious response to all the rumors about their split.

The video raised more questions than it did answers, really. Everyone was left confused as to if this meant they were still together, never had been, or if Nicole just takes breakups miraculously well.

Thankfully, a rep cleared up the confusion. "They were never serious and now it's old news" they told The Mirror, "They were never serious and it's old news. The age gap was too big for them but they remain on good terms."

So there you have it. Nothing says "they were never serious" more than answering break up rumors with a dubsmash video. We're glad that they were able to…keep things mature? #NoMoreSheerzinger
